2012 marks the 10th consecutive year of Quai 54, the finest basketball and urban culture in Europe. The competition this year took place on June 30th and July 1st at the "Champ de Mars" in Paris, directly in front of the Eiffel Tower. 16 high-level basketball teams from around the world battled it out for the title champions of streetball. The Quai 54 has invited amateurs, professionals and NBA players from all nations to play together for just one exciting weekend, all possible with the help and support of NIKE and JORDAN BRAND. Today, ten years after the first tournament on Quai Michelet in Levallois, the Quai 54 is now recognized as the biggest worldwide playground basketball competition.

The live webcast of the 2012 Quai 54 event was done in partnership with YouTube as the distribution network and promotion partner and the webcast was sponsored by Nike. Live coverage started at 10 in the morning and lasted 12 hours each day. This production featured a four camera mix plus commentary and live interviews. A live musical performance by American hip-hop artist Wiz Khalifa was also part of the webcast production. Due to technical issues on the Internet connection on site at the Champs de Mars, we were only able to do a 480p SD encoding at 1200 kilobit per second.
